I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. After college, law school and a brief run-in with the legal profession I made the decision that I was more into the "technology" part of Technology Law than I was in the "law" part. This decision pointed me toward the Internet and gave me a firm kick in the butt.

In 2005 I cofounded an internet startup that focuses on helping local businesses deliver their customers more satisfying shopping experiences. Our company, Check a Biz, helps local businesses monitor and enhance the satisfaction levels of their customers (Are you a business owner? Go here) .

In early 2007 - in a moment of inspiration/madness - I decided that operating one business wasn't enough. A college friend of mine and I started a web design and development company called Westslope Design. We have since merged with a company called Valitics. We help businesses and organizations of all shapes and sizes display, market and monitor themselves online. We have clients in Boise and all around the Pacific Northwest.
